TUSCOLA -- Bobby Joe Cleveland, 40, died Saturday, March 23, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident near Sterling City. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church of Tuscola. Burial will be in Tuscola Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home.
Mr. Cleveland was born in Abilene to Robert L. and Wanda J. Wilder Cleveland on March 20, 1962. He graduated from Jim Ned High School in 1981. He worked for Bill Reed Distributing, Yellow Freight Truck Lines and owned his own business, Restore-All in Abilene for nine years. The last four years he has been an independent insurance adjuster for Wardlaw Claims Service in Abilene. He was a member of Outlaw Tractor Pulling Association and Texas Tractor Pulling Association. He was active in body building and participated in weight-lifting competition throughout Texas. He was a certified SCUBA diver with search and rescue certification.
Survivors include his mother, Wanda Cleveland of Tuscola; his father, Robert Lon Cleveland of Abilene; a sister, Judy Lynn Cleveland of Tuscola; his grandmother, Helen Wilder of Tuscola; two aunts, Jo Ann Lothridge of Ft. Worth and Carroll Lynn Harris of Midland; one uncle, Frank Cleveland of Lawn; and three cousins.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
