Clifford,
I had not heard of Lynn Copeland's death until I read it on the alumni page. Oddly. I had
written a satirical note to Lynn just a few days before I read about his passing. I wrote Debra
Dacus about when she had learnes of it and she said you had informed her. Do you know any details of his death?

Just looking at peoples names. How are you doing? Look at my comments to Copeland
and tell me what you think. I know he is too important to respond to me. Maybe you?

I never did figure why every time we got together (usually with some of the other deplorables) I was running for my life before the night was over. The next day at
school Jesus was sitting on your right shoulder. I will never forget the day you
unloaded the gas barrel from the back of your Dad's pickup and then backed over it and
you couldn't figure out why your pickup wouldn't go. I laughed so hard I ruptured three intestines. Next time you're in Lawn I would appreciate it if you would bring a few planks
and nails to help keep the draft down in our house. You must be very rich now. Help the
poor. Namely us.

The reason I get up in the morning is there is a sheriff's deputy banging on the front door
and an IRS guy coming in the back.

Where is Brideport? Bet you'd make a good one.

Thank God. Poverty would still abound if not. Maybe it does anyway.

Hey Clifford,
I have heard you have done well in your occupational world.
I remember spending a night or two with you east of Lawn.
The pomegranate tree and the tank south of your house
are the first things that come to mind when I think of that place.
I have contacted Birdie and Jim E. in the last couple of
years as they were the two I got in the most trouble with.
Most of my work years were spent in the aerospace world.
Always maintained some farming/ranching interests. Today
we have a comfortably small number of 15 cows and I am
retired. Shirley and I are both in reasonably good health.
Would like to hear from you.
