Douglas Lynn Copeland, age 72, of New Orleans, LA, passed from this life Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Odessa, TX. He was born Sunday, December 30, 1945 in Lawn, Taylor County, Texas to the late Guy T. Copeland and Ida V. Short.
Douglas was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was an artist who was born a country boy, but loved the city life. Douglas loved to entertain. He had his master’s degree in finance and retired from hotel management.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his daughter: Kim Copeland; brothers: Charles Copeland and Jim Copeland; grandchildren: Haley, Taylor and Mason; and great grandchildren: Addison and Dominick.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother: Delbert Copeland; and sister: Shirley Copeland.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 at McBee Cemetery in Lawn, Taylor County, Texas. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
