Gregory Roland McAdams

BIG SPRING – Gregory Roland McAdams, 59, died Thursday, October 14, 2005, in an Abilene hospital. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2005, in Lawn Baptist Church with Reverend Price Mathieson officiating. Burial will be in Dewey Cemetery, directed by Fry - Bartlett Funeral Home in Tuscola. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Greg was born in Abilene August 8, 1946, to Roland and Ocellia McMillon McAdams. He grew up in south Taylor County and graduated from Jim Ned High School and Texas Christian University. He worked for several companies including LaJet Oil Company, eighteen years for Fina Oil Company, and was presently working for Texas Department of Transportation. His various jobs allowed him to live in several cities such as Ft. Worth, Oklahoma City, and Tyler before moving to Big Spring. He married Trina Hatchett May 30, 1986, in Abilene.

Preceding him in death was his mother in April, 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Trina McAdams of Waxahachie; three daughters, Misti Heins and husband Reggie of Arlington, Kelci McAdams of Waxahachie, and Bailey McAdams of Ft. Worth; his father, Roland McAdams of Abilene; two sisters, Kay Frederick and husband Tom, and Phyllis Harkins and husband Warren, all of Abilene; an aunt and uncle, Euna and Jake McMillon of Abilene; one aunt, Elma McAdams of Odessa; nieces and nephews, Cecelia and Carlton Burke, Eddie and Penny Davis, Cynthia and David Maurel, Roland Davis, Gina and Kevin Chrane, Shaunna Harkins and Jessica Harkins; several great-nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
