Trudy Gail Moore Welch

(December 14, 1954 - December 27, 2020)

Trudy was the daughter of James Herbert Moore and Amilee Poindexter, born in Abilene.  She is survived by her daughter Dara Welch and son Michael Welch, grandchildren Sydnee Ryan, Holly Mikala and Quinn.  Also survived by her brother Ben Moore and sister Avanell Holloway.  Trudy died in Abilene, due to Covid complications.

Trudy Gail Welch, 66, of Abilene, TX, passed away on December 27, 2020 in Abilene, TX. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, TX 79606. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Friday January 1, 2021 at Buffalo Gap Cemetery, 3241 FM-89, Buffalo Gap, TX 79508.

Trudy was born in Abilene, TX to James Herbert Moore and Amilee Moore on December 14, 1954. She went to Jim Ned School District. She graduated from high school in 1973 and went on the get her bachelor’s degree from ACU in 2004. She married Bobby J. Welch on July 3, 1974. She worked at Abilene Regional Medical Center for 30 years. Trudy was proceeded in death by her parents James Herbert Moore, Amilee Moore. Her brother JH Moore, her sister Velmarie Dean.

Trudy is survived by Bobby Welch. Daughter Dara Welch-Lauritzen, Son-in-law Erik Lauritzen granddaughters Sydnee Lauritzen and Quinn Lauritzen. Son Michael Welch, Daughter-in-law Mandy Green granddaughter Holly Welch. Step-grandchildren Codie Flaherty, Rodderick Flaherty, and Grace Flaherty. Her sister Avanell Holloway and brother Ben Moore. Nieces Sandy Latham, Rhonda Feemster and Tammy Cook. Along with many other beloved family members. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital
