Jerry Alford Dennis, Jr.

June 30, 1972 - April 17, 2005

Jerry Alford Dennis, Jr., 32, died Sunday, April 17, 2005, in an Abilene hospital after battling a heart condition for several years. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005, in Buffalo Gap Cemetery, with the Reverend Richard Dennis and Chaplain Chris Hale officiating, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home.

Jerry was born June 30, 1972, to Jerry Alford and Jacque Russo Dennis, in Abilene at Dyess Air Force Base. He grew up enjoying the country life in and around Buffalo Gap and Tuscola. He played in Little League baseball, participated in many school activities including FFA, band and football and graduated from Jim Ned High School in 1990. He attended Cisco Junior College. He married Cathy Michelle Boles September 22, 1993, in San Angelo. In 1998 they moved to the family ranch near Lake Abilene.

He was a certified diesel mechanic and worked for Hughes Diesel in Tye. He owned and operated Al's Tire Shop in Abilene for several years.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Frank and Jennie Bess Russo and A. C. Dennis.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle of Tuscola; his parents, Jacque and J. D. Dennis, Sr. of Tuscola; his grandparents, Nancy and John Quesenbery of Burleson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
