Chester Woodrow Clemmons

(December 22, 1918 - December 7, 2001)

Chester Woodrow Clemmons, son of Thomas L. Clemmons and Minnie Mae Taylor, married to Mary Grace Turner and buried in Colonial Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.  Lawn Independent School District Grade School Teacher (1949-1951).

Chester W. Clemmons, born December 22, 1918 in Terrell, TX, passed away in San Antonio, TX on December 7, 2001 at the age of 82 years. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Grace Clemmons; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Robert Newman, Susan and Robert Kirby; son, Thomas Clemmons; sister, La Vern Clemmons; grandsons, Steven and wife Gracie King, Michael King; great-grandson, Austin King. Visitation will begin on Monday, December 10, 2001 at 6:00 P.M. at Southside Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. at Southside Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 744 Louis Pasteur, Suite 200, San Antonio, TX 78229, www.sctx-alzheimers.org. Interment will follow in Colonial Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements with Southside Funeral Home.
