Mary Grace Turner Clemmons

(December 17, 1922 -September 9, 2007)

Mary Grace Turner Clemmons, daughter of Festus Eungene Turner and Gussie Byrd, married to Chester Woodrow Clemmons and buried in Colonial Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.  Lawn Independent School District Music Teacher (1949-1950).

Mary Grace Clemmons age 84 of San Antonio passed away Wednesday September 19, 2007. Mrs. Clemmons was a school teacher at Bellaire Elementary for 27 years, a Sunday school teacher at Bellaire Elementary for 27 years, a Sunday school teacher at Harlandale Baptist Church and also taught piano lessons from her own home. She was preceded in death by her husband: Chester Woodrow Clemmons. Survived by children: Thomas Eugene Clemmons, Mary Susan Kirby and husband Robert and Karen Lynn Newman and husband Robert, grandsons: George Steven King and wife Gracie and Michael Thomas King, great-grandson: Austin King, brother: Ben Turner and wife Shirlene and by numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and many dear friends. Visitation will be Sun. Sept. 23, 5-8 P.M. at Southside Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Clemmons will lay in state at 9:00 A.M. Mon. Sept. 24, at the church for a Funeral Service at Baptist Temple Church at 10:00 A.M. with the Rev. Gary Bradley officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements with: Southside Funeral Home.
