I attend Hardin-Simmons University and graduated in 1970 with a BS in Elem. Education/Minor in Music Education. I taught for 4 years at Canadian ISD in the Panhandle.
I married my husband who returned to the Army after obtaining his degree in Industrial Arts Education. I traveled with him as he pursued his military career. When he retired after 21 years of service, I was hired by the Jim Ned ISD where I taught for 15 years.
In 2000, I received my Master's in Education and was employed by the Bridgeport ISD to teach Jr. High Reading until I retired from teaching in 2004. Retiring was hard for me. I really enjoyed my teaching and the young people I worked with.
