Edra Lavonne Turman Fitzgerald, daughter of Robert Graden Turman and Myrtle Aulene Long, married to William James Fitzgerald and buried in Restland Cemetery, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.

— Edra L. Fitzgerald passed away on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008.  She was born on March 28, 1935 in Gilmer.

Edra was a devoted member of the Daughters of the King, a prayer service and evangelism group of the Episcopal church for 24 years. Edra and her husband spent 15 years serving God in Mexico. They built homes, brought food and the Word of the Lord to those in need.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.  Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Episcopal Church, with a 3 p.m. graveside service at Restland Cemetery in Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, William James Fitzgerald; sister, Elaine Hutchinson; brother, Leo Turman; and mother, Aulene White.

Survivors include her three children; Michael Fitzgerald and wife Maria of Tinian, Mich.; Patricia Potter of Corsicana, and Julie Smirl and husband Don of Corsicana; brother; Dalton White and wife Mary of Corsicana; niece, Katie Hutchinson of Frisco; five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
