George H. 'Handsome' Smith

(May 16, 1937 ~ July 11, 2015)

George H. 'Handsome' Smith, son of George Henry Smith and Annie Ruth Wommack, married to Judy Eilleen Evans and buried in Bethany Cemetery, Bethany, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.

George was born in Merkle, TX. He is survived by his wife Judy of 50 years; 3 daughters, Julie Smith, Michelle Sitton and husband Jeff, Regina Smith – Warner and Steve Warner; 2 grandchildren, Abbi Prosser and husband Kyle, and Andy Sitton; sister, June Bomar.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Annie Smith; 1 brother and 1 sister. George was a member of the U.S. Army serving from 1960-1962 and he retired from General Motors in 1992.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Integris Hospice House, 13920 Quailbrook Dr. Oklahoma City, OK 73134. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Integris Hospice for their support and kindness through this difficult time. Services to celebrate his life will be at Buchanan Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery.
