Don Wallace Vickery, 77, of Tuscola, passed away February 6, 2014 at Hendrick Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am Monday, February 10, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, Tuscola, Pat Voce officiating, directed by Fry~Bartlett Funeral Home, Tuscola. The family will receive friends from 4-6pm Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the funeral home.

Don was born on February 14, 1936 in Tuscola to Horace and Tessie (Burleson) Vickery. Don married the love of his life, Barbara Hendrix on August 10, 1956.

His working career began at age fifteen for Abilene Lumber, following that he worked for GG Drill Collar and Arrow Ford before starting Vickery Auto Sales and Ranch Operations which he was active in until his death.

Don is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Ovalo, two daughters, Lynn Darby and husband Bud of Ovalo; Sandra Randolph and husband Mark of Burleson; five grandchildren Kelly Okerstrom, Jason Darby, Kevin Darby, Jesse Marshall, Roxie Randolph; nine great grandchildren Kolton, Kaden, Kambree, Karson, Sadie, Cynthia Grace, Charlotte, Catherine, and Hudson.

Pallbearers for Don are Steve Stockton, Johnny Sherley, Gary McCall, Ronnie Brown, Joe Wilkens, Charles Smith, John McPhail, Jim Greenlee, Stanly Boutler, Gary White, Button May, Rodger Chittum, G.W. Ashwander, and Butch Graham.

In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to made to the Ovalo Baptist Church 134 Fm 382, Ovalo, Tx 79541.
