Arzo Robert 'Bob' Bagwell, son of Arbie  Isom Bagwell and Eddie Eveline Mooty, married to Joy Francis Brooks and buried in Robert Lee Cemetery, Robert Lee, Coke County, Texas.



A.R. "Bob" Bagwell, 87, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2012. Visitation will be held all day Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the funeral home with the family present from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012, in Robert Lee Cemetery with Steve Peyton officiating. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. 

Bob was born on Feb. 5, 1925, to Arbie Isom and Eddie Eveline Bagwell in Bradshaw, Texas. He attended school in Bradshaw and Ovalo, Texas. Bob was in the Army and proudly served his country during World War II in France and Germany. 

He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 1950. On Nov. 18, 1950, he married Joy Francis Brooks. Together they settled in Robert Lee in 1954, and Bob worked for Union Texas Petroleum for 32 years until retirement in 1988. He spent the rest of his years traveling with his good friend Dorothy Jetton. Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church in Robert Lee.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Joy Bagwell in 1993; his parents; four siblings; and one grandson, Kirk Allen Bagwell. Bob is survived by his sons, Mike Bagwell and wife Christie of San Angelo, Carl Bagwell of Lubbock; his daughters, Nancy Eaker and Karen Sefcik, both of Robert Lee; his grandchildren, Tiffany Kristen Bagwell of Monahans, Shaunna Grantham and husband Austin of Robert Lee, Jeannie Ashley and husband Brett, Cara Sefcik and Jo'el Sefcik, all of San Angelo; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
