Mickey Jane Anderson Knott, 89, of Tuscola passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Tuscola United Methodist Church directed by Fry-Smith Funeral Home, with Rev. Ryan Goodwin of Tuscola and Rev. Don Kinder of Lubbock officiating. Burial will be at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 22, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Fry-Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola.

Mickey was born April 14, 1927 in Tuscola to John Newton Anderson and Pearl Graham Anderson. She was the granddaughter of John L. Graham, one of the founding fathers of Tuscola. She grew up living in what is now the Fry-Smith Funeral Home. She graduated from Tuscola High School in 1944 and attended Hardin-Simmons University. She married Robert Knott of Duncan, Oklahoma on April 16, 1946. Mickey worked at The Bootery in Abilene from 1966-2004 and later worked part-time at the Abilene Steinmart. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Tuscola and most recently attended Tuscola United Methodist. She was also active in the Tuscola Senior Citizens group.

Mickey was preceded in death by her parents, numerous half sisters and half brothers, her sister, Annie Stephens, and her husband Robert Knott (November 20, 2014).

She is survived by daughter Linda Cross and husband Darrell of Ovalo; and son Randy Knott and wife Barbara of Tuscola; five grandchildren, Kelly Cross Calvert and husband Kris of Arlington; Cody Cross and wife Wiepie of Ovalo; Casey Knott Luckenbach and husband Brian of Tuscola; Jason Knott and wife Catherine of Hanover, Indiana; and Sara Knott of Abilene; and six great grandchildren, Ethan, Josh, Norah, Rachel and Audrey Luckenbach and Luke Calvert.
