Mayme Abilene Elliott Nicolett Mayes

(February 17, 1902 ~ April 7, 1970)

Mayme Abilene Elliott Nicolett Mayes, daughter of Louis Byrom Elliott and Elizabeth Frances 'Betty' Rodgers, married 1st to Peter Michael Nicolett (1891-1940), married 2nd to Spencer Homer Mayes (1895-1976) and buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Graham, Young Co., Texas.

Peter Michael Nicolett married Mayme Abilene Elliott on 20 August 1921 in Abilene, Texas. The couple moved to Graham, Texas in 1921 from Abilene, Texas. He preceded her in death. Two children were born to this union - Mary Helen, Peter Michael, Jr.

Mrs. Mayme Nicolett married Spencer Mayes on 15 October 1969 at Sherman, Texas.

Mrs. Spencer Mayes, 68, moved to Graham, Texas in 1920. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, active in church work and member of the Chancel Choir for many years.

Survived by her husband; one daughter - Mrs. Mary Helen Howell; one son - Peter M Nicolett; one brother - Jack Elliott; two sisters - Mrs. Oren C Reid and Mrs. P.L. White; one step-daughter - Mrs. Sarah Beth Key; eight grandchildren.
