Tommy Norris Anders

June 30, 1924 - May 26, 1989

Tommy Norris Anders, son of William H. Anders and Tommie Estelle Espy, married to Mary Evelyn Smith and buried in Rule Cemetery, Rule, Haskell Co., Texas.

Tommy Anders, 64, died Friday, May 26 at Haskell Hospital.  Services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Rule with the Rev. J. R. Williams officiating.  Burial was in the Rule cemetery and was directed by Pinkard Funeral Home.

Born in Newport, Ala., he was a long time resident of Rule. He was manager of Rule Co-Op Gin for 31 years and a farmer for 41 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge, Rotary Club, and the Chamber of Commerce. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Evelyn Anders of Rule; two daughters, Mary Ann Nickell of Irving and Tommy Jo Epley of Wichita Falls; two sons, Bobby Anders and Stephen Norris Anders, both of Abilene; his mother, Tommy Estelle (Mrs. W.H.) Anders of Haskell; a brother, Billy Anders of Houston; two sisters, Louise Chambers of Rochester and Nell Hodges of Tilden; and 11 grandchildren.
