Morris Dotridge Sanders, son of John Samuel Sanders and Mattie Eugenia Wedgeworth, married to Gladys Olean Hammit and buried in Snyder Cemetery, Snyder, Scurry County, Texas.

Morris Dotridge Sanders, 98, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at a local nursing center.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th Street with Elder Gary Mabry officiating. Burial will take place at the Snyder Cemetery, North Avenue E off of Hwy 84, directed by Abilene Funeral Home. Viewing and visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Sanders was born January 07, 1917, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late, John and Mattie Sanders.

He was a Retail Manager and Professional Businessman for 40 years.

He was "Mr. Fix It". There was nothing he would not try to repair.

Survivors include his loving wife of 77 years, Gladys Sanders of Abilene; two sons, William Darrel Sanders (Anne) of Paris, Texas and Gary Maurice Sanders of Abilene; two grandchildren Melinda Sanders (Monica) and Tony Sanders (Jennifer); four great grandchildren, Blake, Andrew (Britney), Annelise, Tyler Sanders and Trent Bullard; and a great-great grandchild, Brenden Sanders

Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Lee Sanders; 10 siblings; 3 brother; and 6 sisters.
