Gladys Lee Scoggins Donica

Gladys Donica, 82, died Thursday, November 30, 2006 at a local medical center.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Fred Sandlin officiating. Interment will follow in Bradshaw Cemetery, Bradshaw, Texas, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home.

Gladys was born September 11, 1924 to Lola Mae {Nicholas} and Otto Scoggins in Frankell, Texas. She moved from Farmington, New Mexico to Abilene in 1947. Gladys married L.K. Donica in Winters in 1943. He died in 2004. She was a homemaker and a member of Free Methodist Church.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, J.W. Scoggins; and a grandson, Ryan Donica.

Survivors include a son, Tommy Donica of Levelland, Texas; a daughter, Brenda Quast of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Mary Jones of Abilene; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
