Ronald Dale 'Ronnie' Roberson

Ronald Dale 'Ronnie' Roberson, son of King Carlton 'K.C.' Roberson and Florence Ruth Wilkinson, married to Rita Gayle Zimmerlee and to be buried in Dewey Cemetery, Lawn, Taylor County, Texas.

LAWN: Ronald "Ronnie" Dale Roberson, 79, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 2:30 in the Dewey Cemetery, directed by Fry-Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola. A visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00PM to 2:00pm at the funeral home in Tuscola. A procession will follow to the cemetery from the funeral home.

Ronnie was born to KC and Florence (Wilkinson) Roberson on December 4, 1943, in Abilene.

He met and married Rita Zimmerle on February 22, 1964, and they settled in Lawn.

Ronnie worked in the oilfield sand blasting and painting for Union Texas Petroleum. Ronnie later tried his hand at farming and ranching, he retired from farming and ranching then went to work for David Aldridge in construction. He cut concrete floors and built houses for ten years working along side good friend Danny Rose.

Ronnie retired for a second time to enjoy his family, bass fishing, and his favorite past time of cheering grands at their sporting events.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rita; son, Kenneth Roberson; daughter, Kimberly York; sister, Peggy Vernon; two grandsons, two granddaughters, and two great-grandsons.

He was Preceded in death by parents, and son Brian Roberson (2015).
