Nancy Marie McIntyre Hudson, daughter of William Zach McIntyre and Juanita Johnson, married to Ray Carrol Hudson and will be buried in Oplin Cemetery, Oplin, Callahan County, Texas.


Nancy Marie Hudson, 84, of Abilene, passed away on September 10, 2023 in Abilene.

Visitation will be on Thursday September 14, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home at 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 16 at Crescent Heights Baptist Church, 1902 North Mockingbird Lane, with Rudy Fambrough officiating. Burial will follow at Oplin cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home.

Nancy Marie Hudson was born in Abilene, Texas to Zach and Juanita McIntyre on January 30, 1939. She graduated from Lawn High School. She married Ray Carrol Hudson on November 27, 1957 in Abilene. She was actively involved in her church and taught children’s Sunday school for many years. She was a loyal and dedicated housewife, mother, and grandmother.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, parents and two brothers, Lowell McIntyre and Paul Ray McIntyre.

Nancy is survived by one daughter, Carol Lawrence; one son, Mark Hudson and wife Cheri; all of Abilene; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ruth McIntyre, of Stephenville, and Eloise Cheney of Abilene; four grandchildren, Ryan Hudson, Madison Matero, Shane Lawrence and Shelby Lawrence; five great grandchildren, Harper and Nolan Hudson, Zalea, Obie, and Ellie Stewart; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robert Briley, Parker Briley, Ryan Hudson, Shane Lawrence, James Grant, and Robie Stewart. Honorary Pallbearer will be Zach Briley.

Memorials may be given to Crescent Heights Baptist Church, 1902 North Mockingbird Lane, Abilene, TX.
