Jessie Evelyn Williams Haynes, daughter of Woodall Jessie Williams and Mahala Evelyn Tucker, married to Lawrence John Haynes and buried in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Abilene, Taylor County, Texas.


OVALO (RNS) --Mrs. Lawrence J. Haynes, 51, of Ovalo, died in a Bisbee, Ariz., hospital Thursday afternoon.
Born Jessie Williams, June 24 1911 at Ovala, she attended school there and graduated from McMurry College. She married Mr. Haynes Aug 29, 1936, in Abilene.

She had taught school at Lawn and Water Valley before moving to Bisbee in 1941. Mrs. Haynes had been a teacher since moving there.

She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church in Bisbee and belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star and the National Education Assn.

Graveside rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene with the Rev. Phil Widner, pastor of the Ovalo First Methodist Church officiating. Fry Funeral Home of Tuscola is handling arrangements.

Survivors are her husband; two sons, William L. and David A., all of Bisbee; two sisters, Mrs. G. C. Boulter of Ovalo and Mrs. W. S. McMurry of Levelland; two brothers, L. R. Williams and Joe Williams, both of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews.
