Sonya, daughter of Everett Love Graham and Lucille Clementine Moody, married to Chadwick Chisholm Rogers and buried in Tuscola Cemetery, Tuscola, Taylor County, Texas.
Sonya Elaine Rogers, 78, of Tuscola passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at her house surrounded by her family.
Sonya was born in Abilene on July 28, 1942, to Everett and Lucille (Moody) Graham. She attended school at South Taylor County and then graduated from Jim Ned CISD in 1960. She was always a proud South Taylor County Tiger. She moved to Howard county where she attended school at Howard County Junior College.
She worked in and around Tuscola and at various jobs but her priority was taking care of her family. She loved any games with words in them and was a master at crossword puzzles. She loved all animals and always had cats and dogs. She was also known to be a little stubborn and might be a tad rebellious.
She is survived by her daughters Darla Rogers of Tuscola, Elaine Ison of Tuscola; son Chad Rogers and wife Toni of South Carolina; brother Butch Graham and wife Margie of Tuscola, and her grandson Colton Ison of Tuscola.
She is preceded in death by her parents.

Sonya Graham Bride of Chadwich Rogers
TUSCOLA (RNS) - A garden ceremony Wednesday evening at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett L. Graham, united Sonya Elaine Graham and Chadwich Chisholm Rogers in marriage.
The Rev. Bill Alexander of the Tuscola Methodist Church read double ring rites.
Mr. and Mrs. P.H. Rogers of Pomona, Calif, are parents of the bridegroom.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of illusion and lace fashioned with a bouffant skirt. Her veil of illusion was held by a crown of pearls and sequins. She carried white roses and carnations atop a white Bible.
Mrs. Gene Rice of Wingate and John Kelley of Abilene were honor attendants.
Mrs. Rice selected a dress of blue silk. She wore a pearl tiara and her corsage was of white carnations.
Candlelighters were Dwayne Graham, brother of the bride, and Rick Roderick.
The reception followed the ceremony.
Following a wedding trip to California where the couple will visit his vamily, the Rogerses will be at home in Rapid City, S. D. He is serving with the U. S. Air Force.
A graduate of Jim Ned High School, the bride attended Howard County Junior College. The bridegroom, a graduate of Ganesha High School in Pomona, Calif., attended McMurry College.
A pre-nuptial gift tea complimented the bride June 10. Hostesses were Mmes. Robert Edwards, C. M. Frazier and Jackie Cumby.
