Linda LaNita Van Cleave Boulter, daughter of William Hurshel Van Cleave and Virginia Pearl Richardson, married to Stanley Earl Boulter and buried in McBee Cemetery, Ovalo, Taylor County, Texas.

Linda LaNita Van Cleave Boulter passed away Friday, June 25, 2011 in Ovalo, Texas. Linda was born on August 29, 1944 in Abilene, Texas to Hurshel and Virginia Van Cleave.


Services will be Monday, June 27, 2011 at 10:00am at Tuscola Methodist Church with Mike Pueschel and Rev. Dewayne Bush officiating. Burial will be in McBee Cemetery. Visitation will be at Fry ~ Bartlett Funeral Home in Tuscola Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.


Linda graduated from Jim Ned High School in 1962. She married Stanley Boulter on August 18, 1962 in Tuscola, Texas. Linda retired from U.S. Postal Service after serving for 29 years as the Postmaster of Ovalo, Texas.


Linda never missed an activity her children or grandchildren were involved in. Linda always made everyone welcome in her home and her community. She had a gift of hospitality and a heart of gold.


Linda is survived by her husband of 48 years, Stanley Boulter of Ovalo, son Scott Boulter, daughter Lanita Roden, daughter in law Trina Boulter, mother in law Dorothy Boulter, grandchildren: Cortnie & Thomas Carpenter, Janae McCrary, Parker Boulter, Will Roden, Latham Roden & their father Jeff Roden, great grandchildren: Brody, Skylar, & Boston Carpenter, brother Jerry Van Cleave & his wife Jonell, nieces & nephews, Janie & Jay Van Zandt, Mark & Shana Boulter, Karen Morris and many close friends.


Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Hurshel & Virginia Van Cleave and her father in law, Gordon Boulter.


In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Big Country or Ovalo Community Center.
