Cheryl Lorraine Cummings Norris, age 59 of Novice, passed away January 2, 2005 at the Abilene Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dean Coultas, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Coleman, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Midway Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Coleman.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening (today) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until time for the services at 10:00 a.m.

Cheryl was born November 14, 1945 in Crews, the daughter of the late James Howard and Thelma Rose Greer Cummings.  A lifetime resident of Coleman County, Cheryl was retired from Dry¹s Manufacturing, a member of the South Side Baptist Church in Granbury, a member of the Eastern Star, and attended Novice Metho-dist Church.

She is survived by one son; Jason Norris of Novice; three daughters; Lisa Collins of Brandon, Mississippi, Brenda and husband Larry Williams of Abilene, and Michele and husband Randall Sims of Lafayette, Louisiana; four sisters, Jean Mason of Coleman, Fern Kincaid of Novice, Patsy Keel of Joshua, Texas and Joyce Keel of Keithville, Louisiana; one sister-in-law, Donna Cummings of Coleman.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren; one grandson-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Cheryl was preceded in death by two sisters; Marion Williams and Neda Kincaid; one brother, Melton Cummings; and a son-in-law, Stanley Collins.
