Clabourn Dale 'Clay' Carrell

(January 4, 1949 ~ October 9, 2016)

Clay, son of Henry Richard Carrell and Ida Bell O'Neal, married 1st to Debra Ann 'Debbie' Woodring, married 2nd to Sondra Lynn Sullivan.  Cremation was chosen.

Clabourn "Clay" D. Carrell, 67, died on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at IU Health Arnett.

He was born on January 4, 1949 to the late Henry R. and Idabell Carrell in Brownsville, Texas.

Clay married his late wife, Sondra (Sullivan) Carrell in 1982 in Kokomo, Indiana. He was a member of the National Guard. Clay worked in maintenance at Purdue University for over fifteen years. He enjoyed fishing, watching football, especially the Saints. He was a true family man and loved his family.

He is survived by his seven children, David (Sherry) Carrell, Brian Carrell, Ross (Marie) Carrell, Brad (Jennifer) Johnson, Misti Reese, Heather (Rob) Dunbar and Kristen (Moe) Loy; two siblings, William Carrell and Jeanette Carrell; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Clay was also preceded in death by his siblings, Phillip Carrell and Ora Bell Hays.
