Cedar Gap was my first school, as a visitor in 1939. But I started to school at Rogers. Second grade at Tuscola. Fourth through the eighth at Ovalo. Ninth in Colo. where I started Bookkeeping and D. E. White allowed me to finish this course with his instructions. He was the one that stimulated my interest in Finance. Then the 10th, 11th & 12th at South Taylor (Tuscola). Most of my fond memories involve Yvonne Atkins, she was everyone's friend. I always looked forward to moving back into this school district. Our class worked hard (pulled cotton etc) therefore we had some good trips: 8th Grade and 12th Grade.
Mrs. Holliday was a wonderful teacher and inspired many students to excel.
Also, in 1954, I Married Robert C. Davis in Abilene, TX, went to Puyallup, WA. Robert finished his tour at Ft. Lewis, WA in 1955. He worked for Davis-Kinard CPA's and Taylor Co. Apraisal Dist. We presently enjoy farming & ranching and live near Bluff Creek N/E of Winters.
