Ashley Nicole Pagano

  (December 9, 1988 ~ October 23, 2019)

Ashly Nicole Pagano was the daughter of Kimberly Ann Pagano.

ABILENE: Ashley Pagano, 30, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. A memorial service will be held at Lawn Baptist Church on Saturday, October 25, 2019 at 11:00am.

Ashley was born December 9, 1988 to Kim (Pagano) Denton, she was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis the day after birth. She attended Jim Ned Schools graduating in 2007. She then attended Hardin Simmons University where she graduated Cum laude in 2011 with an associate in advertising.

While in school at Jim Ned she loved to play sports, always a fighter with her Cystic Fibrosis, Ashley took that fight on to the T ball field, tennis or basketball court and to the trails of cross country never giving in to the down times that came along with Cystic Fibrosis.

She was great at art and was comic legend with jokes that will live on forever. She gave all Dr Pepper drinkers a chance to be in first place for the love of it, although she always won.

It was 2013 when her CF became uncontrollable, and then in 2015 her CF doctors finally told her that within the year, she would be desperately in need of a double lung transplant, a pair of lungs came available on the next day.  On September 11, 2015, Ashley, in true Rockstar fashion, walked out of the hospital ten days after have the transplant, it was the selfless gift that gave Ashley the next four years.

Ashley leaves behind her beloved dogs Nigel and Lennon, boyfriend Matt Snider, Mom and Pops Kim and James Denton, sister Christian Pagano, brother Nathen Lancaster and wife Cathy, her best friend and niece Peyton, three nieces Raelynn, Lorelei, and Avalon, four bonus sisters Jana, Janelle, Jacquilin, and Jeneve, as well as fourteen bonus nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her grandparents Frank and Kathleen Pagano, many uncles, aunts and cousins, with plenty of extended family and friends that loved and supported her.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Cooks Children Hospital, Fort Worth, Seaton Medical Center, Austin, and University Transplant Hospital, San Antonio.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to feeding the homeless, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, organ donation or your local animal shelter and/or spay or neuter program.

Please laugh and don’t cry but her last great phrase was: “We are Just Coasting till we are Ghosting”.

The family is going to do this thing in Ashley Pagano style. To work around everyone we will have her memorial Saturday October 26 at 11. Lawn Baptist Church (hope it is big enough). Attire is purple or cat sprinkled with disney. Crying but plenty of laughs and celebrations. In lue of flowers, donations to your favorite animal rescue/ spay or neuter program. youth group. To all my prayer warrior friends and everyone who made a card in elementary, went to school with her, was in LBC Ministry with her, or that prayed for Ashley Pagano throughout her 30 Years of life:

Ashley is taking huge deep breaths in Heaven. Bound to be dancing. For the first time in her life her body is disease free. God is good. As soon as arrangements are made we will update again. Services will be at LBC. Is all that is for sure and they will be possibly on Monday but all is tentative at this time. Prayers for her niece, Peyton, Matt Snyder, Christian, Nathan, Kim and James and all the rest of her family and friends would be appreciated.
Our God is faithful and Ashley was secure in her love and trust in Him.
