Shirlene Joy Jones Reed

Shirlene, daughter of John Uner Jones and Elva Naomi Griffin, married to Charles Eugene 'Gene' Reed and buried in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Irving, Dallas County, Texas.

TUSCOLA - Mrs. Gene (Shirlene) Reed, 40, of Waxahachie, died at 8 p.m. Friday after open-heart surgery Wednesday in a Dallas hospital.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Boze Mitchell Funeral Home in Waxahache.

Burial will be oak Grove Cemetery in Irving.

Born Shirlene Jones April 3, 1937, in Lawn, she graduated from Lawn High School.  She was married to Gene Reed June 9, 1956, in Lawn.  She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Debbie and Tammy, both of the home; her mother, Mrs. J.V. Jones of Lawn; and three brothers, Glen and Joe of Lawn and James of New Orleans, La.
