Dr. Robert Larue 'Bob' McMillan, son of Willard Larue McMillan and Jesse Rose Wallace, married to Linda Stockton and buried in Tuscola Cemetery, Tuscola, Taylor County, Texas.
Dr. Robert L. "Bob" McMillan, 77, of Midland, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 in Midland. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Mid-Cities Community Church with Pastor Ric Warnick officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:00PM on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Tuscola Cemetery in Tuscola, Texas.
Dr. McMillan was born on November 20, 1936 in Ballinger, Texas to Jesse Rose and Willard Larue McMillan. He attended McMurry College in Abilene and went on to Texas A&M University where he graduated with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1962.
He married Linda Stockton on December 11, 1999 in Midland and enjoyed a loving and wonderful marriage with her for almost fifteen years.
He was an athlete and loved to watch any sports, especially football. He enjoyed fishing and taking care of people and animals that were in need. Dr. McMillan had a gift of compassion that he shared with everyone he met. He was selfless, forgiving, sensitive, and dedicated to his family and friends. He was fiercely loyal to friends and family. Most importantly, Bob McMillan is a child of God who placed his faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of his sins. He loved the Lord, he is now in Heaven with Jesus.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Stockton McMillan; daughter, Marki Larue McMillan; son, Chad Dickson McMillan and wife Nancy Jane; son, Robert Lance McMillan; and step-children, Terri Lynn Hawkins and Melinda Vinson; grandchildren, Chase Dickson McMillan; Julia Grace McMillan; Robert Caleb McMillan; Brandon Lee Hawkins and wife Jessica; Tana Lynn Jolly and husband Jeramiah; Justin Brett Hawkins; Kaitlyn McKenzie Vinson; Morgan Gray Vinson; and Shannon Andrew "Bubba" Vinson; great grandchildren, Kali Grace Jolly; Emery Vinson; and Kash Blaze Vinson.
