Linda Gayle Stockton McMillan

November 11, 1939 - March 20, 2021

Linda McMillan, 81 of Midland, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Linda was born on November 11, 1939 in Abilene, Texas to Hugh and Grace Stockton. She attended Jim Ned High School in Tuscola, Texas, and then went on to San Angelo Jr College as a Majorette. She was soon married and as her young family grew, she made their own clothes (including Barbie clothes!), became a drug and alcohol counselor, and even started a business as a successful designer and seamstress, making wedding dresses and pageant gowns. To know Linda was to love her. Most everyone knew her as Nana. She loved life, loved to laugh, and her joy was infectious. One of her true loves was her Mid-Cities Church family, building friendship, fellowship, and support with some of her closest friends. Her priorities in life were Jesus, family, and friends, starting her days with The Word, prayer, and a phone call to a loved one. If you needed prayer, one call to Nana and you were covered. Linda is survived by daughters Terrie Hawkins and Melinda Vinson; stepson, Chad McMillan and wife Nancy Jane; stepdaughter Marki McMillan; brother, Jerry Stockton and wife LeNora; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby McMillan and her sister, JoAnn Martin. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
