Jeff Neal Dyer, son of Henry Jeff Dyer and Annie Mae Carter, married to Wynona Louise Claer and buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Lawton, Comanche County, Texas.


Funeral for Jeff Neal Dyer, 70, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church, Lawton, with Dr. william F. Watkins, associate pastor, officiating. Mr. Dyer died Friday in a Lawton hospital after a sudden illness. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker Funeral Home.

He was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Goldsboro, Texas, and went to school in the Abilene, Texas, area. After graduating from high school, he joined the Army paratroopers, serving in Europe during World War II for two years. He married Wynona Claer May 10, 1947, in Carlsbad, N.M. Mr. Dyer was employed in the oil fields of west Texas and New Mexico as well as assignments in Venezuela and Colombia. He moved to Lawton in 1959. He established the SESCO Electric Supply Co. in 1963 in Lawton and established another store in Duncan in 1968. Mr. Dyer was a member of Masonic Blue Lodge No. 548, where he was a Master Mason and Shriner. He was also a member of Knights Templar, the Order of the Eastern Starr Chapter No. 82 and First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons: Kevin, Duncan; and David, Lawton; a brother, Pat, Carlsbad, N.M.; and a grandchild.
