Gertrude Mae McCall Pope

(December 13, 1903 ~ October 19, 1997)

Gertrude, daughter of Thomas Jefferson McCall and Martha Jane Davis, married to John Hughey Pope and buried in Andrews County Cemetery, Andrews, Andrews County, Texas.

Gertrude Mae Pope, 93, of Tracy died Sunday at her daughter's hope.

Mrs. Pope was a native of Indian Territory, Okla.  She lived in Tracy 11 years and in Kermit, Texas, prior to moving to Tracy.  She was a homemaker.  She was a charter member of the United Methodist Church in Kermit, and an associate member of First United Methodist Church, Tracy.

She is survived by her children, Elouise Chestnut of Winters, Texas, Milton Pope of Granbury, Texas, and Glenda R. Speed of Tracy; and five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held in Texas.  Inturment will be private.  Hotchkiss Mortuary in charage of arrangements.

Remembrances may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1610 East St., Tracy 95376.
