Bernie, daughter of Henry Clyde Lawless and Clara Ethel Satterwhite, married to Johnny Eldon Zimmerlee and buried in Dewey Cemetery, Lawn, Taylor County, Texas. 


LAWN - Bernie Joyce Zimmerlee, 73, died Friday, March 15, 2002, in an Abilene hospital.  Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lawn Baptist Church, with the Reverend Price Mathieson officiating.  Burial will be in Dewey Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home of Tuscola.

The daughter of Henry Clyde and Carla Ethel Satterwhite Lawless, Mrs. Zimmerlee was born March 31, 1928, in Lawn, where she was a lifelong resident.  She married Jonny Zimmerlee September 1, 1945 in Lawn.  She was a homemaker and a member of Lawn Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Zimmerlee of Lawn; one son, James Zimmerlee and wife, Karren of Buffalo Gap; three daughters, Paula Connel and husband, Mitchell and Teresa Gregory, all of Lawn, and Twylah Stewart and husband Tony of Ozona; her mother, Clara Lawless of Lawn; a sister, Bettye Garza and husband Frank of Lawn; three sisters-in-law, Alma Atwood and Fae Ola Zimmerlee, both of Lawn and Vada Zimmerlee of Tuscola; eight grandchildren, including Stephanie Bardwell, who was raised as a daughter; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
