WINTERS - Leamon Dee Herrington, 82, died Tuesday in a local hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Winters First Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Shoemake officiating. Burial will be in Dewey Cemetery in Lawn, directed by Winters Funeral Home.

Mr. Herrington was born in Moro in Taylor County and lived in Taylor and Runnels counties most of his life. He married Lavonda Wood in 1940 in Haskell and was a stockfarmer. He worked as a truck driver for Bob Loyd LP Gas Co. and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, of Winters; two sons, Wayne Herrington of Abilene and Randy Herrington of Winters; one brother, Willard Herrington of Abilene; three sisters, Billie Lusk of San Angelo, Pauline Williams of Fort Worth and Wilma Black of Abilene; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
