Preston Earl 'Jack' May
(November 12, 1924 ~ July 24, 1977)
Jack, son of James Warren May, Jr. and Margaret Elizabeth Preston, married to Georgia Dean 'Deanie' McBride and buried in Rogers Cemetery, Ovalo, Taylor County, Texas.
TUSCOLA - Preston (Jack) May, 52, of Ovalo, died at 12:20 a.m. Sunday in a Big Spring hospital after a short illness. Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Lawn.
The Rev. Robert Elkins of Brownwood will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Tommy Larner, paster of the Lawn Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Rogers Cemetery, directed by Fry Funeral Home of Tuscola.
Born Nov. 11, 1924, near Ovalo, he was a farmer and a rancher all his life. He married Deanie McBride on Nov. 1, 1949, in Abilene. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jan of Graford and Ronda of Ovalo; two sons, Jacky and Bland, both of Ovalo; a sister, Minta Kelton of Ovalo; four brothers, Alton of Panhandle, Waldon of Tuscola, G.T. (Cotton) of Ovalo and O.K. (Slick) of Vega; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Haynes, Merrill Eaton, Melbert Allen, Marvin Rutland, G.T. Dunnam and Arthur Frymire.
