Dorothy, daughter of Robert Henry Middleton and Dulcie Edith Williams, married to Joseph Bailey McCutcheon and buried in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, Houston, Harris County, Texas.

Dorothy Jane McCutcheon of Alvin, Texas, age 92, passed away August 22, 2019 at her home in Alvin surrounded by family.

She was born Dorothy Jane Middleton on April 20, 1927 in Bradshaw, Texas in Taylor County. She has been an Alvin resident since 1964.

Dorothy was a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Alvin. She was a registered nurse and retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Houston in 1983 after 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Henry Middleton, and mother, Dulcie Edith Middleton, an infant daughter, Janie Jo McCutcheon, and her beloved husband, Joseph Bailey McCutcheon, Sr. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her older brothers and sisters: John Clifford Middleton, Rita Mercedes Holmes, Jack Middleton, Carl Middleton, William Wood Middleton, Robbie Lee Middleton, Mack Ray Middleton, Marinella Hundley, Bobby Gray Middleton, and Jimmy Bryan Middleton.

Dorothy left as survivors: sons and daughters-in-law Joseph Bailey McCutcheon, Jr and his wife, Carol, of Sugar Land, Texas, Michael Paul McCutcheon and his wife, Shelley, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, daughters and sons-in-law Marie McCutcheon and husband, Kenny Farmer, of Dickinson, Texas, and Kathryn McCutcheon Lowe and husband, Robert Lowe, of Katy, Texas. Grandchildren Tessa Foster of Alvin, Andrew Stell McCutcheon of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dorsey Roach, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Robby and Randy Lowe of Katy, Texas. Great-grandchildren: Abby Doucette and Chloe Foster of Alvin and Connor McCutcheon of San Juan. Great-great-grandchildren: Hali and Klein Peltier of Alvin.
