Artie Gray Wilson Norman, 78, a former teacher at Jim Ned High School, passed away, Thursday, February 18, 2016 at a Fort Worth hospital.

Mrs. Norman taught home economics at Jim Ned from 1959 through 1966. She was the wife of James Norman, former Reporter News writer, (1959-1963) and Abilene Christian Sports Information Director, (1963-1972).

Mrs. Norman was a graduate of Sam Houston State University and obtained her Masters in Early Childhood from Texas Woman's University. She taught third grade at Aledo ISD of 19 years.

She is survived by her husband, James; A son, Lance; Daughters, Holly and Shannon; and five grand daughters, Corinne, Lana, Analaynn Norman and Paige and Madeline Benoit; two great grand children; Ashton Walker and Roman Pierce.
