Myrtle Lois Childers Bredemeyer Ware, daughter of James Elbert Childers and Clurcy Lee Pillion, married 1st to Edwin Herman Bredemeyer, married 2nd to Dale Dudley Ware and buried in Sweetwater Cemetery, Sweetwater, Nolan County, Texas.


Myrtie Bredemeyer Ware, age 87, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Hendrick Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 10, 2011 at Highland Heights United Methodist Church in Sweetwater, Texas with Rev. James Baker and Rev. Chris Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Myrtie was born on November 18, 1923 in Nubia, Texas to James E. and Clurcy Lee Childers. She worked as a credit manager for J.C. Penney Co. for 34 years before retiring. She was a member of the former Epworth United Methodist Church in Abilene and also an affilate member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church in Sweetwater.

She is survived by one daughter, Yvonne England of Melissa, Texas, son, Ronald D. Bredemeyer of Waco, Texas and two step daughters, Louise Wilson of Odessa, TX and Llewellyn Ware of Kerrville, Texas, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Edwin H. Bredemeyer and Dale Ware, and seven brothers and sisters.

Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland Heights United Methodist Church, 1801 Lamar Street, Sweetwater, Texas 79556.
