Gladys Lee Scoggins Donica

Gladys, daughter of Otto Scoggins and Lola Mae Nicholas, married to L.K. Donica and buried in Bradshaw Cemetery, Bradshaw, Taylor County, Texas.

Gladys Donica, 82, died Thursday, November 30, 2006 at a local medical center.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Fred Sandlin officiating. Interment will follow in Bradshaw Cemetery, Bradshaw, Texas, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home.

Gladys was born September 11, 1924 to Lola Mae (Nicholas) and Otto Scoggins in Frankell, Texas. She moved from Farmington, New Mexico to Abilene in 1947. Gladys married L.K. Donica in Winters in 1943. He died in 2004. She was a homemaker and a member of Free Methodist Church.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, J.W. Scoggins; and a grandson, Ryan Donica.

Survivors include a son, Tommy Donica of Levelland, Texas; a daughter, Brenda Quast of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Mary Jones of Abilene; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
