Una Belle Phillips
(November 16, 1912 ~ December 23, 1941)
Una Belle, daughter of Clarence Felton Phillips and Alice Elma Hodge and buried in Tuscola Cemetery, Tuscola, Taylor County, Texas.
TUSCOLA, Dec. 23-(Spl.)-Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Christmas day, at the Methodist church here for Una Belle Phillips, 29, one of the two victims in a highway crash Tuesday near Monahans.
Miss Phillips, who had been a beauty operator in Big Spring for the last two or three years, was a daughter of Mrs. B.F. Phillips of Tuscola. Other survivors are a brother, Herman Phillips, Tuscola; two sisters, Mrs. Boyd Carter, Tuscola, and Tommie Hodges, Bisbee, Ariz.
The Rev. Roscoe Trostle, Methodist pastor, will officiate for the funeral, assisted by the Rev. W.I. Taylor, Baptist pastor. The body was brought here in a coach from the Jenkins and Hodges funeral home, which is in charge of funeral arrangements here. Pallbearers will be Clem Hodges, Boles Fry, Dewey Williams, Ed Brown, Haney Henderson and Edward Graham.
Miss Phillips, who was born at Guion Nov. 16, 1912, was a graduate of Tuscola high school.
