Lamoyan Faye Baker Douglas, daughter of Lira Burl Baker and Elsie G. Cumby, married to Ralph Arnold Douglas and buried in Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Sherman, Grayson County, Texas.


DENISON – Lamoyan Faye Douglas, 89, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, May 5, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church, 213 N. Burnett Avenue, Denison, TX 75020 with Rev. Jim Hawthorne officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service. Pallbearers will be Horace Groff, Gene Ramey, Charlie Williams, Stan Keese, Ron Meisinger & Brett Meisinger. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, TX 75090.

Lamoyan was born September 21, 1921 in Lawn, Texas, the daughter of Burl Baker & Elsie Cumby Baker. She married Ralph Douglas November 15, 1942 in Abilene, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2009.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Denison where she was a former elder; a member of the Denison Lioness Club; a beloved member of the TMC Auxiliary; enjoyed cooking & gardening; worked for Citizens National Bank & Sears; and she loved to decorate for every holiday.

She is survived by daughters Rhonda Sue Cellner & husband Jim of Meadows Place, Texas, Karen L. Patterson & husband Bill of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren Kandi Meisinger & husband Ronald, Douglas Cellner & wife Annette, Rodney Cellner & wife Tish, Cherry McKinley; great-grandchildren Brett & Micth Meisinger, Adrienne & Alex Cellner, Dawson Cellner, R. J. & Michelle McKinley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 siblings & grandson Stephen Patterson.
