Milburn Roy Landers

Roy, son of Homer McBee Landers and Blanche Young, married to Patsy Ruth Taylor, and buried in McBee Cemetery, Ovalo, Taylor County, Texas.
Tuscola - M. Roy Landers, 76, died Monday, October 21, 2002, in Boca Raton, Florida. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2002, in First Baptist Church with the Reverend Burtis Williams officiating. Burial will be in McBell Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Landers was born in Ovalo October 13, 1926, to Homer McBee and Blanche Young Landers. He was a graduated of Hardin Simmons University. He married Patsy Taylor August, 2 1950 in Tuscola and was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a claims adjuster in several cities, including Sweetwater, Odessa, San Antonio, and Albuquerque, New Mexico and returned to Ovalo in 1979. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Tuscola.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Patsy October 26, 2000.
Survivors include two daughters, Melissa and husband Rick Cutter of Boca Raton, Florida, and Melinda and husband Herb Pounds of San Antonio; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
