Ann, daughter of James Addison Sneed and Mamie Dovie Adams, married to James Glynmon Harms and buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Anson, Jones County, Texas.


Anna Belle Sneed Harms, 87, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016. at Hendrick Medical Center. Service will be Friday, October 7, 2016 at Elmwood West United Methodist Church with John Hewitt officiating. Visitation will be at the church at 1:30 PM till service time. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home.

Born January 29, 1929 in Hamilton, Ann was a daughter of the late James Addison and Mamie Dovie (Adams) Sneed. She graduated from McMurry University and married James Harms September 29, 1950 in Big Spring. They moved to Anson from Abilene in 1967. Ann worked as a secretary for the 96th Bomb Wing Commander at Dyess Air Force Base where she worked for ten different wing commanders.

Ann was a member of Elwood West United Methodist Church in Abilene. Ann was involved in numerous civic organizations including Order of the Eastern Star, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Thursday Book Review Club, Abilene Wildflower Club, American Business Women's Association, and Red Hats of Abilene.

She was Mom, Memah, and Mommy Ann to our family. She was the light of our lives.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband (James Harms); four brothers (Stanley Sneed, Russell Sneed, Kenneth Sneed and G. W. Sneed) and a sister (Nona Quay Gill).

Survivors include one son, Jamie Harms (wife, Dana)of Round Rock; two daughters, Glenna Ann Casady (husband, the late William "Dickie") of Abilene and Judy Gayle Polunsky (husband, Mark)of San Angelo; three grandsons, Joshua Allen Harms (wife, Allison); James Jonathan Casady (wife, Kate)and Austin Addison Polunsky, five granddaughters, Hope Jeanane Olds (husband, Don), Chrysti Dawn Martin, Lisa Marie Casady, Ryan Katharine Polunsky and Jillian Brooke LeCroy (and Husband, Zack); 11 great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren.
