Neta Merle Fisher Jennings (Bradshaw Coyotes) - Class Of 1946

Neta Merle Fisher Jennings

(September 1, 1928 ~ June 19, 2021)

Neta Merle Jennings, Nana, was born September 1, 1928, to Bill and Dessie Fisher in Winters, TX. She stepped into Heaven on June 19, 2021, at the age of 92.

Nana worked for Bob Chewning at Chewning Footwear where she met her lifelong friend, Lorraine Owens. She had many stories to share about their friendship. Nana taught Lorraine to drive a car in the Roswell Sears parking lot.

Nana went to work for Roswell Sears and had many good friends, especially Lee and Velna Rucker. She moved to San Angelo, TX in 1972 and worked for Sears for over 20 years. It was there she met her dear friend Mavis. Nana and Pop and Mavis and JW became traveling companions. They loved RVing and took several cruises.

Nana was Past President for Concho Pearl Lions Club. She and Pop would travel to various places for Lions International. For many years they also would travel to reunions for the USS Corregidor.

The highlight of every year was a trip to Bradshaw, TX. Nana was a 1946 graduate of Bradshaw High School and there continues to be a reunion every July for all graduates.

Nana and Pop moved to Roswell in 2010 to be closer to family. So many family dinners, holiday celebrations, great grandsons, and great great-grandson's ballgames and school activities. Many memories that we cherish.

Nana loved watching sports on TV especially her granddaughter, Amber's husband's teams. She was able to go to several NFL games and meet the players and coaches.

Those that went before Nana were her parents, Bill and Dessie Fisher, her brother Wayne, and the love of her life, her husband Tillman Jennings as well as her sons Kendal Lee Mosley and Monty Jennings.

Those left with our memories are her three children: Judy Kay (Gary) Richburg, Kim Wayne (Polly) Mosley, Rickie L. Jennings Sr. (Dawna); grandchildren: Tish (Matt) Volquardsen, Jason (Margie) Richburg, Tiffany Dosher, Amber (Jed) Fisch, Aaron (Bryan) Bailey, Rickie L. Jennings Jr., Leann (Miguel) Brown, Kaleyn Tyree and Josh Anderson.
