I moved to the suburbs of Ft. Worth in 1989 to be closer to my family. I fell in love with the area and have been here ever since. I worked in an alarm company monitoring station – the hours were very strange, so in my spare time I started posting stories to the Internet in 1998. The following year I received an offer to publish my first two stories and met my future partner online.

Jan moved here from Illinois in 2000. I continued to write, help raise her daughter, and in 2003 we “eloped” to Toronto, Canada and got legally married. My brother, Kenneth, was my “best man”. Our family has changed – Ken has two beautiful kids that we love to spoil (I think my mom was born to be a “mawmaw”), and we lost dad in an auto accident in 2004. Jan and I continue to live in the suburbs, and I’m still writing – book number twelve will be published in the summer of 2014.

I remember working my rear off in Mr. Geise’s World History class, never able to make an A.

I remember having Mrs. Vick’s typing class right after band, and always dozing off (and getting a friendly tap on the back of the head to wake me up – thanks, Mrs. Vick!).

Having to “shampoo” the ugly band hats all the time – and how heavy the fuzzy things were when they got wet.

Most of all, I remember good friends and good times, and how being a “band geek” was a GOOD thing!
