I graduated from Angelo State University in 1995. I started teaching Second Grade at Ballinger Elementary school in 1996. A Second Grade job became open at Lawn Elementary School and I was blessed enough to get the job. I have been teaching at Lawn Elementary school since 1999. I love teaching and Second Grade is an amazing year to help the students become independent readers. IT IS GREAT TO BE A JIM NED INDIAN!

I remeber showing sheep all through school. My Junior year I really wanted to get the showmanship belt buckle at the Taylor County Show. I remember being nervous and waiting for the judge to announce the winner. The judge said he would go shake the hand of the winner. As he walked up to me, I reached out and shook his hand and let go of my sheep. As I was receiving the belt buckle I had long awaited, my sheep was running circles in the ring in front of all the other competitors and the audience in the stands. One of my most embarrassing moments.
