After graduation, I went to Angelo State & graduated in 2005 with my Associates in Nursing. I stayed in San Angelo for a couple years, just long enough to meet my future husband Cody. We moved to Austin in 2008 & on Halloween 2009 we wed on the Siren ship at Treasure Island in Las Vegas. He's currently in school as an animal science major with the hope of becoming a zoologist working with large herbivores (elephants, giraffes, rhinos). I've been working at one of the best hospitals in central Texas, Seton, since we moved to Austin. I am currently working on the cardiac telemetry unit with transplant & VAD (ventricular assistive device) patients. It's stressful but rewarding & I really enjoy what I do. We've done a lot of traveling lately. In June of 2010 we took a long road trip through the south from Texas along I-10 into Florida then up to Georgia & Tennessee. I learned that this really is a beautiful country & other southerners HATE Texans! We spent our 1st anniversary in Oahu, Hawai'i. It has become my new favorite place on Earth. We're hoping to do some traveling outside of the US before we have babies.
