Attended A&M one year after graduation, then joined the Air Force. Intended to stay 4 years and get GI bill and go back to college. However, was accepted into the Aviation Cadet Program, got my pilot wings and commission and ended up being a "lifer"--27 years. Along the way, the Air Force sent me to college at Oklahoma State. After retiring from the Air Force in 1981, worked in the aerospace defense industry and taught electronics and math for 23 years. Now happily retired in Georgetown, TX.
